Eleftherias Square is the main square in Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus, named after freedom. Its renovation project, designed by architect Zaha Hadid, won a 2005 competition and features innovative glass reflectors that create a unique natural phenomenon on Cyprus Independence Day. The square is designed to host public events and festivals.
