Personal exhibition of Ioannis Macheriotis "Still Life" || from 16.09.2025 to 30.09.2025 || Gloria gallery

Gloria Gallery in Nicosia is set to host Ioannis Machairiotis’ solo exhibition, Still Life, this September. The exhibition will run from 16th to 30th September and will be the artist’s tenth solo exhibition in Cyprus.

In Still Life, Machairiotis presents pieces from his personal collection, both new and old, using the chiaroscuro technique, a dynamic play of light and shadow made famous during the Renaissance. This technique gives the works a striking three-dimensional perception and a captivating realism.

Although Machairiotis has always been fascinated by art, his journey into the world of art as a creator began after he retired from business. After 17 years of working in other industries, in 2008 he decided to devote himself entirely to painting, studying with renowned artists in Athens and Cyprus, developing a deep passion for the depiction of the human figure and the expressive possibilities of various materials.

Since then he has participated in 18 group exhibitions both in Cyprus and abroad, his works are in private collections in Cyprus and abroad and he is now preparing to present his latest works in his hometown.
