Movie GoetheKino: Family Stories on the Big Screen || in city Nicosia from 24.09.2025 to 26.11.2025

The Goethe-Institut Cyprus once again invites you to a series of film screenings and discussions in German with English subtitles.
The second season of GoetheKino explores family relationships, the dynamics of relationships between loved ones, and questions of belonging, memory, and sacrifice.
On the last Wednesday of September, October, and November, viewers will enjoy a screening of a landmark film, followed by a discussion and exchange of ideas.

Program:
- September 24 – Discussion "The Young Life and the Frisian Light" with film scholar Olga Kurelou and comedian Konstantinos Psillidis.
- October 29 – Discussion "Good Bye, Lenin!" with Olga Kurelou and documentary filmmaker Mein Balman (Beyond History Education, Olivia).
- November 26 – Discussion "Jenseits der Stille" with Olga Kurelu and Panagiota Themistokleous, sign language interpreter and member of CODA (Children of Deaf Adults).
