The Centre for Visual Arts and Research (CVAR) and BE OPEN present "Meet the Cypriots," a cultural event that explores the history of Cyprus through fashion and commerce.

Immerse yourself in a fascinating journey through the island's history – from the Ottoman Empire and British colonial rule to the present day.

Costumes are living witnesses to social change, economic upheaval, and cultural exchange. Schoolchildren from Nicosia will present them on the catwalk.

But this is more than just a fashion event. The street will come alive with historical vendors, reminiscent of Cypriot markets of centuries past, selling everything from fabrics and spices to household items.

By combining historical fashion and live action, "Cypriots Are Coming" offers a new way to see the island's past and reflect on its cultural heritage.
